North lodge to complex of almshouses. 1839. By Henry Rose.
Stock brick with stucco cornice, blocking course and
dressings.
1 storey, 3 bays with pilasters of varying width supporting
narrow architrave; stucco frieze over pedimented centre.
Inscription in pediment: "This lodge erected 1839. Henry
England, chairman" still visible. Stucco architrave to central
door with cornice head and oblong fanlight with margin lights.
Shouldered architraves to sash windows with margin lights. Low
plinth; chimney as acroterion. Similar pedimented returns of 1
bay.
