Gates, gate piers and flanking walls
at lodge to Weetwood Hall

Gates, gate piers and flanking walls. 1887. For Alfred Cooke
of Weetwood Hall. Coursed squared gritstone and ashlar,
wrought-iron gates. Double gates with ornate scrolls and wavy
dog bars. Piers approx 2m high, octagonal, with carved detail
including 'AC' monogram and crenellated design to capstones.
Lower curved flanking walls: plinth, stepped ridged coping and
raised panels with quatrefoil recesses screens front of house
and extends to plain walling right.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
