Lodge to Weetwood Hall

GV II

Lodge. Probably 1887. By WH Thorp. For Alfred Cooke. Coursed
squared gritstone, slate roof. 2 storeys. Tudor style. L-plan
with entrance in lean-to porch with chamfered pointed arch and
deep stepped hoodmould, bay window with moulded corner detail
above, right, mullion and transom windows. Gable copings, tall
moulded stacks. Similar to the lodge on Weetwood Lane (qv).
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Alfred Cooke owned the Hunslett Printing Works and lived at
Weetwood Hall from 1887.
