TG 32 NE INGHAM GRUB'S LANE

House. Circa 1830. Gault brick with slate roofs. 2 storeys. South front
of 3 bays, centre bay broken forward. C20 glazed door in centre, in original
window opening. Sash windows with glazing bars and gauged skewback arches,
the lower ones tripartite and with sash hoods, the upper ones with shutters.
Modillion eaves cornice and hipped roof. Canted return to south-east forming
principal entrance : panelled door with panelled reveals behind Ionic portico
porch. 2 bay west front defined by pilaster strips. Tripartite sashes each
floor with glazing bars, gauged skewback arches and sash hoods. Modillion
eaves cornice continues. 2 storey, 3 bay service wing extends north. Sashes
with glazing bars beneath gauged skewback arches and shutters. Gabled roof
with 2 ridge stacks.
