Lodge, dated 1873 with initials A.E.B. (Augustus Edward Burdon) in shield on left return. Ashlar; Welsh slate roof with white brick stacks. One storey two wide bays. Chamfered plinth. Central four-panel door with fanlight under moulded four-centred arch with hoodmould, and raised block above with relief carving of eagle and pelican, supporting urn finial. Canted bay windows with plate-glass sashes in moulded surrounds and brattished parapets. Indented eaves cornice carried round bays, on moulded corbels. Coped gables with moulded kneelers carrying globe finials; rebuilt end stacks.
Left return shows date panel in gable, plate-glass sash in moulded surround, and similar window in rear wing to left; to far left flat-coped screen wall backing outbuildings, with coping ramped down on left return.
