GV II

Stable block. Early/mid C18. Coursed squared limestone with limestone dressings,
old plain-tile hipped roof, rendered ridge stacks. Rectangular. 2-storey,
9-window range. Central round-arched doorway with plank door, overlight and
keyblock with window to left and plank door with overlight to right probably
originally a window. Similar round-arched doorways to left and right flanked by
windows. All ground floor windows have keyblocks and were formerly leaded wood
mullion and transom windows, the top lights only remaining, lower lights
blocked. C20 wood mullion and transom windows to 1st floor with keyblocks.
Plinth, quoins and storey band. Formerly stables for 18 horses. Some stalls
remain.
