Observatory, c1840. By John Dobson. Ashlar with copper roof and battlemented
parapet. Single storey. 3 bays with lower, one-bay extensions left and right.
Centre bay canted and containing door with Tudor head in left part and 12-pane
sash in front, hoodmoulds to both. Left bay has tall, narrow window for telescope.
Similar openings to rear, also doors in left and right extensions. Copper dome
above with openings for telescopes.
Fully equipped C19 observatory.
