Row of houses. 1830's by Sir Charles Monck. Ashlar with Welsh slate roofs.
2 storeys. Arcaded ground floor with alternating narrow and wide arches, and
varying combinations of round-headed and elliptical arches.

Nos. 5-8 have C20 doors and windows on ground floor, largely original Yorkshire
sashes above.

Nos. 9 and 10 have panelled doors in raised surrounds and 3 large original
small-paned windows. Yorkshire sashes on 1st floor.

Nos. 11 and 12 (The Post Office and Nicholson's shop) have the arcading blocked-
in with later shop fronts.

No. 13 has panelled door and large segment-headed window. Yorkshire sashes
above.

Double-span, shallow-pitch roofs with stone eaves and banded stacks in central
valley.

Part of planned village street built as a row of 13 houses.
