Post office with shopkeeper's cottage and adjoining cottage. 1830-40. Ashlar
with graduated Lakeland slate roof. Single storey, plus attics, 7 bays.
Boarded doors with Tudor-arched chamferedsurrounds in 1st, 4th and 7th bays.
Three-light mullioned windows with 4-pane casement to each light. Steeply-
pitched gabled roof with stone brackets supporting eaves. Overlapping coping
and 2 corniced ridge stacks.
Continuous outshut to rear and central 4-light dormer window.
