GV II
Inn. Mid C18, with late C19 alterations. Coursed and squared limestone rubble
with C20 ribbon pointing; gabled stone slate roof; end stacks rebuilt in C20
brick. Central-staircase plan. 2 storeys and attic; symmetrical 5-window range
altered in late C19. Doorway with bracketed hood and window to right inserted in
late C19. Flat stone arches over 6-pane sashes to left; timber lintels over
5-pane sashes on first floor; two late C19 roof dormers. Similar extension to
right of 2 storeys; 4-window range. Has 2 rear lateral stacks and keyed flat
arches over sashes on first floor and to rear; late C19 doorway and window on
ground floor. Two-storey range to rear left of similar materials. Interior: room
to left has roughly-chamfered beam, and flat brick arch with keystone over open
fireplace with flanking smoking chambers. Dog-leg with winders staircase has
square newels and handrails and stick balusters. 3-bay common-rafter roof.
