Farmhouse. Late C17 wing to left, extended c.1800: mid C18 right-angle wing to
front right. Coursed limestone rubble with dressed quoins; front of left bay and
right wing of Flemish bond brick with flared headers. Gabled (to left) and
gambrel concrete-tile roof; brick ridge and end stacks. L-plan with front right
wing. 2 storeys and attic; 2-window range. Front of right wing has segmental
brick arches over plank door, C19 three-light casement and late C18 six-pane
sash. Gabled late Cl7 stair-turret adjoins 2-window range front of left wing:
castellated porch of c.1800 has 6-panelled (2 glazed) door and 6-pane sash;
segmental arch over C19 three-light casement and C19 four-light casement.
4-light ovolo-moulded wood-mullioned window to rear. Interior: has chamfered and
boxed beams, early C19 winder stairs, C18 and early C19 doors and open fireplace
to rear. Partial inspection only. Subsidiary features: small early C19
fuel-store to right, with curved rat-trap bond wall, is attached to tall chequer
brick stone-coped wall which extends approximately 30 metres.
