1805 by Thomas Telford. Ashlar built church on an elongated octagonal plan and
with hipped slate roof. Two tiers of round-arched windows and stringcourse between.
Large west tower in 4 stages, the ground stage rusticated, the bell stage has clasping
buttresses and round-headed bell-openings. Interior plan is different and has
rectangular chancel with sacristies in the adjacent triangles. Galleries on 3 sides
of nave with slim columns. Similar to St Michael's Church, Madeley, 1796, also by
Thomas Telford.
