Main block built circa 1714, incorporating some older work. 3 storeys in brick
with pedimented centre breaking slightly forward. Strings between storeys. 7
windows with keystones and moulded stone architraves. In 1808, 2-storey bow fronted
wings and a semi-circular Doric portico were added and the whole building painted
to resemble stone. In 1841-1856 these wings were raised to 3 storeys. Very fine
interiors and early C18 staircase. See Francis Johnson 'Bridlington Sewerby Hall
and Park'.
Sewerby House, terrace balustrade and attached garden wall, archway to Sewerby
House, courtyard archway, conservatory. stable block. old laundry. Gate House and
the Lodge. No 16 form a group.
