Farmhouse. Early C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber
framed with plaster and painted brick infill; concrete tile roof.
Baffle-entry plan, apparently of 4 or 5 framed bays. One storey and
attic. Framing: small rectangular panels, 3 from cill to wall-plate
with long straight tension braces; flush gable to right has ornamental
cusped lozenge decoration within panels and moulded bressumer; C19
cusped bargeboards, raking struts from tie beam to principal rafters
to left gable end. Irregular fenestration; late C19 casements to
gabled eaves dormer to left of centre and to gable with contemporary
casements to left and right of entrance; blocked window to left of
left ground-floor casement. C20 nail-studded door has contemporary
gabled hood; brown brick ridge stack immediately to right and external
rubblestone end stack to left with red brick shaft. Interior: not
inspected but likely to be of interest.
