Pair of shops, now shop, office and flat. Early C19 with mid-C17 wing
at rear. Red brick with plain tile roof. Timber framed rear wing
with painted brick nogging. Framing: small square panels(4 from sole
plate to wall plate) with short straight corner braces. 2 storeys.
Toothed brick eaves cornice. Brick ridge stack just off-centre to
left. 3 bays. First floor 12-pane (4 x 3) glazing bar sashes with
painted stone cills. 3 early C19 shop window: flat-roofed square
bays that to left still retaining small panes, each with fascia and
plain cornice. Right-hand bays flanking C20 half-glazed door with
surround consisting of reeded pilaster strips and blind overlight, and
continuous fascia above. 4-panelled door (lower flush, top glazed)
to left with flat hood on shaped brackets. C17 rear wing has exposed
collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts. Interior not inspected.
The front range appears to have been purpose-built as a pair of shops
in the early C19.
