Urn. 1794 by Coade of Lambeth. Coade stone urn on limestone pedestal.
Square pedestal with moulded plinth and cornice, raised oval panel and
festoon to east side, stepped cap supporting urn. Urn has base inscribed
COADE LAMBETH 1794, frieze of roundels with bears' heads biting swags,
fluted neck and domed lid. Overall height approximately 2 metres. Similar
to No 813 in Coade Catalogue. Moved to present position in paddock to west
of The Old Rectory (qv) from Welton House, Humberside, by Col R A Alec-Smith
in 1959.
