Tower c.1875 of the original church which burned down and has now a replaced
nave mid C20 of little interest. Ashlar 3 stage tower, surmounted by octagonal
broach spire. Set back buttresses. Lancet windows to lst stage which has west
floor with pointed arch and hoodmould with female head terminations holding
shields one of which bears the date. 2nd stage bears clock face. 3rd stage has
2-light plate tracery belfry window. Corbel table, cornice with gargoyles.
Lucarnes to spire. The tower is prominent in the landscape.
