On bend of Bratton Road opposite Bere's Well circa 1870s (probably by Stent).
Small slightly skew red brick building on 2 levels. Stone plinth, quoins,
band half way up gable. Tile roof with sprocket eaves and plain bargeboard,
crested ridge. Gable end has stone quoins and a central 4 light moulded mullion
and transom window, plus herring bone infil to half timbered gable. Blocked
entrance at pavement level to lower ground floor with stone lintel and segmental-
intrados-pointed-extrados relieving arch. Entrance in extension to right:
lintel with stilted pointed arch and label over; narrow quoined window to
right. Intricate allusive shield with wealth of devices below main window:
hour glass, cross keys, bee-hive, lamb and flag, cross with rose, orb encircled
by "Britain", palm with inset heart. West front of 2 storeys with stone dressings.
Central wall stack. 2 windows with 2 lights above plinth; 2 and 3 light windows
on ground floor, doorway to right.
