Detached house. Late C18. Limestone ashlar, hipped Welsh slate
mansard roof, stone stacks. L-plan. Three-storey, 3-window east
front over cellar. Cellar has planked door to left and 8-pane sash
to right, each to canted bay carried up to eaves. Ground floor has
central 6-panelled door up stone steps, flanking canted bays have
round-headed sashes. First floor has leaded central window with
stained glass, flanking bays as before. Second floor has plain 12-
pane sashes to bays and centre, moulded plat bands to each floor,
moulded eaves on corbels, plain blocking course. Attic has 2 pairs
of sashes to 2 flat-headed dormers. Right return, entrance front
has 3-storey canted bay to left with round-headed sashes, moulded plat bands, good door with 6 fielded panels and fanlight to right.
Left return has 12-pane sashes. Rear stable and service wing has
sashes or C20 plastic-framed windows, currently undergoing
conversion to dwelling (June 1987).
Interior has stairs with cantilevered stone treads, stick balusters
and continuous wreathed handrail, 6-panelled doors in moulded
architraves. Plaster ceiling friezes decorated with acanthus
leaves. Marble and wooden dentil fireplace surrounds.
