Estate farmhouse, c1860, built for T.H.A. Poynder of Hartham Park.
Ashlar with deep-eaved slate roof and prominent ashlar stacks to
south end and north-west rear wall. Picturesque cottage style, one
and a half storeys, asymmetrical elevation with half-hipped north
gable end, projecting 2-storey porch and gable to right. Parallel
north-west rear range projecting to north. Gable and porch have
ornamental fretted bargeboards with finials. Gable has upper
timber cross window and lower ashlar slate-roofed canted bay.
Porch has upper cross window, 2 Roman Doric columns below with
moulded lintel and carved THAP plaque over with dripcourse stepped
over. To right, 3-light cross-window. North end bargeboards to
half-hipped gable and upper cross window. Projecting rear wing has
east front bargeboarded dormer gable over C20 sunroom and north end
bargeboarded gable with upper and lower 3-light cross windows.
