1/160 The Garth, Hartham House
GV II
Farmhouse, late C17 and later C18, rubble stone with stone tiled
hipped roof and stacks on ridges of rear wings and end-wall of
north-west wing. Two storeys and attic. Regular 3-window front
with flush quoins, 12-pane sashes in bead-moulded flush surrounds,
2-dormers and central 6-panel door with hood on brackets. West end
wall has sashes. North-west wing has recessed ovolo-moulded
mullion windows, single light to right, 2-light to each floor on
left, apparently late C17. North-east rear wing has similar
windows to main front and hipped gable. Apparently a farmhouse on
the site retained as part of the service quarters when Hartham
House was built.
