Inn, C17 and C18, rubble stone with hipped stone slate roof. Two
storeys. Main range, originally plastered, has 5 early to mid C18
first floor thick glazing bar sashes in raised moulded surrounds.
Dripcourse over ground floor of 4 squat 16-pane sashes inserted in
flush cyma-moulded frames, originally for mullion windows. Door in
fourth bay in raised moulded surround with large open pedimental
head on scroll brackets. At left end a lower projecting crosswing
with C17 details. Long first floor 2-light window with segment
heads and carved spandrels. Leaded lattice glazing over 9-pane
windows. Ground floor has timber lintel over doorway in chamfered
surround with 2-light cyma-moulded overlight. Side stack and
south end stack. Right end, to East Street, has south end stack,
one upper sash as on front and ground floor 2-light flush cyma-
moulded window.
Interior: ground floor wholly altered.
