Barn, late medieval, ironstone rubble with steep roof, slate to
south, tiled to north. East end wall angle buttresses and one
north wall buttress. West end brick cambered arch to low entry,
casements above. Casements in east end wall. Lean-to additions to
north.
Interior: 4-bay triple purlin roof with straight wind braces over
second purlin. Large scale trusses with tie-beam, two collars and
two sets of angle struts. Opposed cart entries at east end, south
entry blocked. A heavy beamed floor is said to have been removed.
A grange of Malmesbury Abbey is known to have been close to the
church at Bremhill and this barn may be associated.
