II
Two chest tombs, early C19, ashlar. From west:
a) Stiles monument, c1820, similar to nearby Bewley monument
(q.v.). Baluster angles, plinth, base, heavy cornice with
reeded edge and panelled frieze with rosettes, and stepped
ridged cap. Two plaques each side with rebated angles.
Inscription to Henry Stiles died 1817.
b) D. Hughes monument, about 4m east of a), c1830, with trapeze-
shaped plaque each side, fluted angle piers, plinth, moulded
base and stepped ridged capstone. Inscription to Daniel Hughes
of Bremhill Wick.
