Farmhouse, early to mid C18, red brick with ashlar dressings, plain
tile and stone slate roofs. Two distinct ranges, linked corner to
corner. West range is formal c1730, five-window front with
concrete plain tiles, coped gables and end stacks. Moulded stone
plinth, rusticated quoins and 18-pane sashes with stone sills and
stone heads, the heads incised with decorated keystone and
voussoirs, the ground floor windows also with cornices. Centre 6-
panel door with segmental hood on scrolled brackets. Painted
timber panelled piers under brackets. South end wall has two attic
and two first floor blocked windows with similar corniced heads.
North end added outbuilding with 2-light mullion window and boarded
window above. Rear has central gabled projection with ashlar-
headed 24-pane stair-light. East range runs north from rear gable
of front range and has stone slates, ridge stack and north stack,
four window range of cyma-moulded flush stone mullion windows of
mid-C18 type with dripstones to lower windows and all with brick
voussoirs and wedge keystones. Hipped leaded dormer each side.
Windows are 3-light each side, 2-light to centre with door in
second bay from right. Plank door in flush moulded surround.
Original iron leaded casements. Flush quoins and dentilled brick
eaves. C20 lean-to on north end.
