Farmhouse, early to mid C18 origins, extended and altered early
C19, red brick with chequered brick to original part, stone slate
roof and end stacks. Two storeys and attic, formal 3-window front
with two hipped dormers and 16-pane sashes, paired each side,
single to centre over door in C20 hipped porch. Brickwork to left
of door is chequered and left windows have been enlarged to match
others. Rubble plinth to left end. Rear wing was dairy and cheese
room. East end stack.
Interior: early C19 plain staircase from first floor, renewed
below. First floor north room has chamfered and scroll-stopped
centre beam of late Cl7 or early C18 type.
