House. Early C18 front; probably a late C17 core.
Timber-framed; pargeted in raised rectangular roughcast
panels. Old plaintiled roof with a wood modillion eaves
cornice.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, attic and cellar: one bay to front range;
small wing and a C20 extension at rear. One window to each
storey, sashes in flush moulded and cased frames, 16-pane on
the 1st storey, 12-pane but deeper on the ground storey.
Recessed 6-panel door in a wood surround with plain reveals
and pilasters and a flat cornice hood.
INTERIOR: a small flint and brick lined cellar. The front
range has an exposed main beam and a small corner fireplace
with a surround of c1840. The rear wall has been removed,
making the whole ground storey into one room. The side wall on
the south is rendered, but said to be of very large flints. It
contains 2 wide semicircular-headed alcoves, one on each
storey. Attics plastered.
