Bank, 1872 and earlier. Ashlar oolite, slate roof and gable
stacks. 2 storey, 3 bays, quoined, centre narrower bay recessed
and containing Tuscan portico with plain entablature. 3 light
windows with square mullions, sashes and panelled aprons. Cornice
and panelled parapet, raised over centre.
Interior much altered to banking hall.
Building originally Wilts and Dorset Bank, started c1835, on the
site of house of Sir Winston Churchill in 1648.
