Public House. 1810 for John Collard, publican. Painted brick and flint
return elevations and plain tiled roof. Two storeys on plinth with brick
dentillated eaves cornice to half-hipped roof with stacks to end left and to
end right. Regular fenestration of 3 cambered glazing bar sashes on first
floor and 2 on ground floor, with outshot with white painted flint walls to
left with wooden casement on each floor. Blocked round headed doorway
to left with 5 steps and simple iron rails, and panelled door to right
in double rebated surround with keystone and imposts, and flight of 5 steps
with plain iron rails. Recessed 2 storey wing to right, of 2 builds, in
part painted brick and flint, part rendered. Two glazing bar sashes each
floor with central half-glazed door in semi-circular surround with 5 steps
and rails.
