House, late C17th, remodelled mid C19th. Sandstone rubble, rendered on
west wall, with slate roof. 2 storeys with attic. Main facade now faces
east with a gable at each end with kneelers and finials. Southern gable
has 3-light rebated and chamfered C17th mullioned window with a C19th
chamfered doorway with triangular head and hood mould to its right. To
the right of the door is a one-light chamfered window. On the 1st floor
is a 5-light chamfered C19th mullioned window with hood mould, with a 2-
light chamfered attic window above. North gable has a very deep double-
chamfered C19th 6-light mullioned and transomed window with hood mould.
On the 1st floor is a 4-light C19th chamfered mullioned window with hood
mould. Above is a chamfered ventilation slit. Recessed central portion
of facade has 4-light chamfered mullioned window of mid C18th type on the
ground floor and 2 2-light rebated and chamfered mullioned windows on the
1st floor. Stacks, with clustered diagonal caps, on end gables and to north
of central recessed section. North gable has 3-light C19th mullioned window
on 1st floor. West wall has chamfered surround with hood mound at north end.
Towards the centre is a doorway with chamfered jambs and shaped lintel 'TBM
1663'. To the right of this is a C17th 4-light rebated and chamfered
mullioned window. Other windows in this wall are modern with plain reveals.
