Pair of houses, formerly one, late C17th, altered. Rubble, partly
rendered, with slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Windows mullioned,
rebated and chamfered, and of 3 lights each. Those on the ground floor
have hoods, now partly missing. The paired doors have stone surrounds
of C19th type, the left-hand one chamfered, the right-hand one plain,
and external stone steps. No.5 (to the left) has a pitched hood of 2
stone slates. End chimneys. Interior. No.6 has a moulded shouldered
fireplace with segmental soffit to the lintel, and boxed main ceiling
beams. No.5 was not accessible at the time of survey, but is said to
have exposed beams and a stone fireplace.
