Going towards Clitheroe from Chatburn, this is the first house in Clitheroe. The Parish Boundary is a stream that flows under Chatburn/Clitheroe Road in line with the dry stone wall in the picture. Whereas Rydal Place, on the opposite side of the road, is in Chatburn. It was also once a pub called the Hark to Bellman, due to it's association with the Cumbrian huntsman, John Peel. Bellman being the name of one of his favorite hounds.
