Church, 1839, by E. Welch, now restaurant. Ashlar, with slate roof. West
tower, and nave with short chancel under one roof, in minimal Romanesque
style. Two-stage tower (lacking spire) with angled pilaster buttresses
to first stage which has a round-headed west door with splayed jambs;
second floor, which is stepped in slightly above a chamfered dripmould,
has on each of 3 sides 2 recessed rectangular lancets, and above this is
a short octagonal drum. Nave of 6 bays with pilaster buttresses and
round-headed lancets containing replacement windows. East window of 5
stepped lancet lights; priest door on south side of chancel. Interior
altered but panelled galleries remain. Commissioners' Church.
