Farmhouse, built as 2 dwellings, now used as store. Mid C18. Coursed
sandstone rubble, stone slate roof with gable chimneys and ridge chimney in
the centre, coping to rear of left gable. Cruciform plan: double-depth, 2
bays, with large projecting porch and short rear extension. Two storeys,
symmetrical; 2-storey gabled double porch has 2 open doorways with plain
surrounds, a square 4-pane sashed window in the centre at 1st floor, a
rectangular recess for a datestone below this, and gable coping with kneelers;
to the left of the porch the 1st bay has a coupled 4-pane sashed window on
each floor, to the right the 2nd bay has horizontal rectangular 8-pane sashes.
Rear extension built back to earth, the upper floor and roof demolished
exposing full-height rear partition wall. Interior: stone staircases in both
parts.
