Arched bower of dry-jointed flat sandstone attached to boundary wall, probably
later C18, c.3 metres wide and one metre deep, with stone bench along rear
wall, a square nog-hole each side, and a square datestone set near the top of
the rear wall with raised lettering GREGORI. CHARLES 1691 simple hoodmould to
datestone and cornice above. (Vide: Ewood Hall, Haslingden: datestone with
initials of Charles Gregory).
