Inn, dated 1841 in pediment, now public house. Dressed sandstone, stone slate roof with various chimneys. Rectangular double-depth 5-bay plan. Two storeys; in classical style, with corner pilasters, plain frieze, moulded gutter cornice; pedimented 3-bay centre breaking forwards slightly has at right side a recessed doorway protected by a large moulded cornice supported by moulded consoles, at left side a similarly treated opening now altered as a window, between these coupled vertical rectangular windows with a hoodmould, at 1st floor 3 vertical rectangular windows all offset slightly to the left, and at each end a moulded console; pediment; contains an empty recessed square panel with a sill, raised lettering above the panel: J.W AD 1841. To the left 1st bay has one window each floor, to the right the 5th bay has coupled ground floor windows with a hoodmould, another window above. Rear wall of less interest. Interior altered.
