House, C17, altered. Rendered rubble with steep artificial slate roof
replacing thatch. One storey with attic. Windows and doors modern with
rendered surrounds. To the left of the main door there are 2 windows. To
the right there are 2 windows, with a second door between them. The attic
is lit by 3 dormers. Chimney to left of door. Inside, in the part of the
house to the right of the main door, there are 2 cruck trusses. In the
attic the upper parts of the trusses are visible, although they no longer
support the raised roof. The right-hand (south-east) one is of re-used
timber. The other one is of light scantling and has bark remaining. The
room to the left of the door has 2 chamfered and stopped main joists
resting on a chamfered and stopped firehood bressumer which has a heck
post with decorated top.
