House, late C17, with barn probably early C19. Slobbered rubble with slate
roof and brick chimneys. 2 storeys. Windows rebated and chamfered with
mullions. On the ground floor are 2 windows with lowered sills, hoods, and
a central mullion remaining. Above these windows on the 1st floor are 2 of
3 lights. To the right -of the left-hand bay are 2 stair windows, one above
the other. The lower one is of 2 lights with hood, the upper one of one
light. To the left of the right-hand window is the door, with plain
reveals, hood, and a lintel with illegible inscription. This doorway was
originally at the right of the facade and opened into a lobby. End
chimneys. The barn, adjoining at the right, has an asbestos sheet roof.
Its wide entrance is under a canopy with cheeks and has an outer stone
lintel. At the left there is a window with plain reveals within a blocked
doorway, with a later doorway to its right. Inside, the main room has a
chamfered firehood bressumer, a heck post with decorated top, 2 chamfered
and stopped axial. main joists, and 2 moulded panelled doors with wooden
handles and catches opening into the left-hand rooms.
