Farmhouse, now 2 dwellings. Dated 1749 at 1st floor; altered. Handmade
brick in Flemish bond on stone plinth, with rusticated stone quoins, stone
slate roof. Double-depth 2-bay plan, unusually with end-baffle-entry. Two
storeys and attic; facade of conservative form with classical features:
doorway at left end with splayed brick head incorporating a slender
keystone, 2 square windows on each floor, all with similar brick heads and
triple keystones (altered glazing); between the upper windows a shouldered
datestone inscribed H H. Gable chimneys. Rear: covered by modern lean-to

at ground floor, 4 differing windows above, including one in the centre
which is probably an upper stairlight, and a little 3-pane attic window.
Interior: baffle-entry to inglenook with firehood bressummer; otherwise,
not inspected. Unusually conservative plan and heating for house of this
period and external style.
