Farmhouse. Mid-to later C18, incorporating some C17 fabric. Handmade
brick with stone quoins, now all white cement-washed, slate roof.
Double-depth 2-bay plan with small porch to the rear. Two storeys, almost
symmetrical, with gable end chimneys; doorway offset slightly left of
centre, protected by added shallow wooden and glazed porch with hipped
mono-pitch roof; 2 large square windows on each floor, all with segmental
heads, small panes and central casements. Large 8-flue chimney at left
gable, 2-flue chimney in front of ridge at right gable, added chimney at
rear. Left gable wall incorporates at its foot a re-set datestone with
raised lettering in early C17 style:

Rear has smaller segmental-headed windows including stairlight, this partly
covered by added upper storey of formerly single-storey gabled porch which
is dated 1667 near the original apex. Interior: re-used 1/4-round moulded
beams in both front rooms and rear left room; batten-and-board doors with
wooden latches; dog-legged staircase with stick balusters.
