Beacon tower. 1798. Sandstone rubble. Square plan, on square base. Upper
part stepped back to carry pyramidal spire. On 3 sides are blocked
windows with stone surrounds and keyed lintels. On the south side is a
similar blocked doorway. Said to be built as a watch tower to warn of a
