3/14 The Old Vicarage
II
House, probably late C18, perhaps with earlier core. Coursed ironstone rubble
with sill course, and pitched roof. 2 storeys throughout. Main range in 2
sections, with patchy masonry suggesting rebuilding. 2 bays to left have
a large bow window and a sash with voussoirs and keystone, and 2 similar
sashes above. Another bay left of this is similar, but slightly
higher, and terminates in a stone parapet. Extending to the right of this
part, and behind it, another range, 2 storeyed, gabled with pitched roof,
and sash windows to rear and in gable wall. In thereentrant angle of
the two ranges, a curving 2 storey porch, with semi-circular arched fanlight
to doorway and 16-light sash window above.
