Farmhouse. Late C18/early C19, altered C20. Red brick in English garden
wall bond, pantile roof, brick end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2-storey, 3-window
range. Central 4-panel door with moulded wood surround and segmental-arched
head. 3-light casement windows to ground and 1st floors left and right and
2-light casement to 1st floor centre, those to ground floor with segmental-
arched heads, those to 1st floor with wood lintels. Ironstone plinth and
dentilled brick eaves. 2-storey extension to rear left. Pump against right
side elevation with iron handle, renewed timber housing, and lead cistern
and nozzle inscribed MH/1813 with draped female figures in relief either
side of nozzle. Interior has dog-leg staircase with stick balusters.
Farm was formerly part of the Duke of Rutland's Belvoir estate.
