Kitchen garden walls. Late C18. Red brick with ashlar dressings.
Large rectangular walled enclosure with main gateway at centre of south wall. Gateway has flush ashlar quoins. Walls are approximately 2 metres high with ashlar coping.
South face of north wall has painted section where lean-to glasshouse once stood. North side has lean-to potting sheds.
This kitchen garden was built to provide flowers, vegetables and fruit for The Spital and its estate.
