4/68 Yew Tree Farmhouse
GV II
Farmhouse. Faced in the later C18 or early C19 in brick on a granite plinth,
but with a timber framed core probably of the early C17. Swithland slate
roof. 2 storeyed. Main range has 4 bays, but the left hand bay is a later
addition. Doorway is central to the older section, a 6-panelled door which is
flanked by 3-light casement windows with cambered brick heads. Rear wing.
Wallplate and angle post of wing are only external visible evidences of timber
frame, but the brickwork is only a single brick skin.
