Mid C18 and before. 2 storeys and attics in ashlar. Stone slate roof with 2 large
gabled dormers. Finely ornamented eaves cornice with small rosettes between dentils,
and below it an egg and dart frieze and stone-framed fascia with scroll brackets
at each end. A smaller moulded cornice below this. 3 windows in shouldered moulded
architraves with moulded wood cills and triple keystones, no glazing bars.
Ground floor has remain of original 6-panel door, 2 panels glass, in plain stone
architrave and a small plain window to right of a central segmental-headed window
with rusticated arch and sliding sash with glazing bars - an early type of shop
window.
The Church of St George, Nos 1 to 7 (consec), Nos 9 to 12 (consec), Outbuilding
to No 12 and Nos 14 to 22 (consec) form a group.
Also Nos 1 to 7 (consec), Nos 9 to 12 (consec), Outbuilding to No 12 and No 14
to 22 (consec) withNos 25 to 26 St Mary's Street form a group.
