Farmhouse. Late C16, altered C17, altered early C19 and restored
C20. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings,
rear range also banded with red brick. Collyweston slate roofs
having raised stone coped gables, single gable, ridge and wall
ashlar stacks, 2 with moulded cornices. T-plan. North front is
2 storey with attics, 3 bays, the right hand bay advanced and
gabled. On the ground floor the left hand bays are covered by a
pent roofed C17 dairy containing 2 glazing bar and leaded fixed
lights. To the right is a 4 light window with above a similar
window and to left a 3 and a 4 light window. In the right gable
is a further 3 light window. All windows have moulded stone
surrounds, hoods and cavetto moulded mullions. In the roof a
single small gabled dormer with 2 light casement and slate hung
cheeks. The south front has 3 and 4 light mullioned windows and
one blocked window. The west front has a large partially
external stack now partly interrupted by a 3 light mullioned
window. To left a similar window, both ovolo moulded. Above a
short section of chamfered string course and a 3 light cavetto
moulded mullioned window to first floor. Interior retains large
4 centred arched stone fireplace to external stack, 4 centred
arched doorway, chamfered and stopped beams.
