Small country house. Late C17, c.1727, 1875, C20. Coursed rubble ironstone,
ashlar dressings, rendering, slate roofs with coped gables, stone coped gable
stacks and single stone coped ridge stack. 2 storey,4 irregular bays, C17
south-west front with alterations of 1875. Central doorway with stone lintel,
rectangular over-light and partially glazed door. To the south-east a C19
quoined rectangular projection with two 4-light mullion and transom windows side
by side. To the north-west a C19 lean-to with two 3-light mullion windows
side by side with doorway with 4 centred arch and rectangular head in south-east
end. Above are 3 plain sashed windows to north-west, with a vertical line
of quoins to south-east and a narrower, taller plain sash beyond. All the
windows have ashlar dressings. Low C17 projecting wing to south of 2 storeys
and 2 bays with C19 fenestration. On the south-west front are 2 long C17
windows with moulded architraves with ornate cartouches and 2 C19 plain sashed
windows above. C18 north-east side reduced to 2 storeys, heavily rendered
and with irregular C20 fenestration. C17 rectangular projecting doorway re-set
towards the north-west with 3 centred moulded head with raised keystone and
panelled door.
