House. C18, remodelled and rear range added c.1830. Gault brick with plain tile mansard roof to front and slate roof to rear range. Gault brick stacks. Single storey and attic front range and 2-storey and basement rear range. 4-window range in all to front. 2 6/6 sashes to left under brick lintels with similar sash to right. Door to centre right within Tudor-arched stone surround and small window to left of this. 4 3/3 sash dormers over. The large rear range, which has hipped roof and bracketed eaves, has main front to garden. 4 6/6 sashes over 4 pairs of French windows with margin glazing. Along the whole length is a fine cast-iron verandah, the cast-iron work including honeysuckle details. Cast-iron balustrading to part. Various sashes on ends of range.
INTERIOR. Features include windows and doors with panelled reveals. Mainly 4-panel doors but some earlier 6-panel. Staircase hall has stick baluster dogleg stair with mahogany rail and plaster cornice. Drawing room has white marble fireplace and plaster ceiling decoration. Dining room black marble fireplace and plaster cornice. Kitchen has chamfered bridging beam.
A C18 and c.1830 house which retains its fine interior of the latter period. Forms a good group with the Church of St.Martin(qv).
