Gate piers and quadrant walls with railings to Potterton Hall
II
Gate piers, quadrant walls and railings to Potterton Hall (q.v.). Mid-C18
piers with mid-C19 walls terminating in piers. Ashlar, hammer-dressed stone
walls (rendered), cast-iron railings. Inner piers with banded rustication
have casement-moulded cornices and bases for finials. Outer piers, with
pedestrian gate between, are smaller and lower with pyramid caps. Curving
walls have chamfered coping surmounted by simple rod railings with arrow-head
finials and terminate in low square piers.
